Deltapine® Champions Community Support in San Antonio with Blanket Donations to Local Children’s Hospital

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 22, 2024) — In a joint collaboration emphasizing community
support and sustainable agriculture, the Deltapine® Field to Closet initiative and Covered in Cotton
donated 200 blankets to the CHRISTUS Children’s hospital in San Antonio. The donation took
place on Wednesday and highlights the organizations’ shared dedication to using their resources
and networks to support communities across the Cotton Belt.

“This is more than a blanket donation; it’s a testament to how brands can invest in American
families and businesses and make a meaningful impact in the areas where they live and work,”
said Tracy Woodard, founder and owner of Covered in Cotton, along with her husband Ty.
Since 2017, Field to Closet has worked to bridge the gap between the grower, industry and the
end consumer, providing opportunities for brands and retailers to support U.S. cotton production
and the creation of cotton goods that give back to growers and local communities.

During the 2023 Deltapine NPE Summit in San Antonio, Woodard spoke to growers about the
organization’s partnership with Field to Closet and its mission to support children’s hospitals.
Covered in Cotton partners with locally-owned businesses throughout North and South Carolina to
craft luxury home goods from cotton grown on the family’s third-generation farm in Darlington,
South Carolina. The summit provided an opportunity for Deltapine growers to team up with the
company and author personalized cards to include with each donated blanket.

“At Deltapine, we believe in the strength of community and the impactful change we can make
when we come together,” said Lauren Bessent, Deltapine brand manager. “Our collaboration
with Covered in Cotton and the CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital is a shining example of our
commitment to supporting the fabric of our society. By leveraging Deltapine partnerships across
various sectors of the industry, we are working toward a shared purpose while supporting brands
that champion U.S. cotton farmers and the greater good.”
