As we prepare to host the Got to Be NC Festival May 16-18 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, we are also celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Got to Be NC marketing program.
- This year we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the “Goodness Grows in North Carolina”/”Got to Be NC” marketing program that seeks to promote all things Grown. Raised. Caught. and Made in North Carolina.
- The Got to Be NC program started in 1985 and today has nearly 3,000 members.
- From the very beginning, this program has helped connect consumers with high-quality local products as the Got to Be NC brand has become a recognizable symbol of excellence.
- Whether it’s fresh produce, locally raised meats, craft beverages or artisan products, you can count on the quality of Got to Be NC products.
- I always tell people when you want the very best, it’s Got to Be NC Agriculture.
- It seems especially fitting to talk about this big anniversary as we plan to open the gates to the three-day Got to Be NC Festival on Friday, May 16.
- Not only does the Festival bear the name of the program, but we will have around 100 Got to Be NC members sampling and selling their food and beverage products daily in the Got to Be NC Pavilion in the Agri Supply Expo Center.
- There will also be new Got to Be NC merchandize for sale in the Pavilion.
- If you miss the Festival, AND I HOPE YOU DON’T, but there will be other chances to connect with Got to Be NC vendors in one location when the Got to Be NC Pavilion pops up at the N.C. Mountain State Fair in Fletcher Sept. 5-14 and at the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh Oct. 16-26.
- I hope to see lots of listeners at the Got to Be NC Festival. If you can’t make it, be sure to look for North Carolina food and beverage products at grocery stores, farmers markets and roadside stands across the state.
- Look for the green and yellow Got to Be NC logo! Buying local products is a great way to support North Carolina farmers and producers.
