Although it is not officially summer YET, it definitely feels like it in South Carolina. When it feels like summer, we all know it is time for summer produce! SCDA and the State Farmers Markets they operate are hosting some summer tasting events!

• SCDA operates three markets within the state:
  • SC State Farmers Market: 3483 Charleston Hwy West Columbia, SC 29172
  • Pee Dee State Farmers Market: 2513 West Lucas Street Florence, SC 29501
  • Greenville State Farmers Market: 1354 Rutherford Road Greenville SC 29609
• Seasonal produce is already starting to roll in like strawberries, peaches, watermelons, and others.
• Spring and summer are a great time to visit our markets, get to know your farmers, and purchase some wonderful local produce.
• On June 28 from 9-1 there will be a watermelon tasting
• On August 2 from 9-1 there will be a muscadine tasting
• On top of the tastings, there will be recipe cards for some creative ways to use the produce.
• Admission and parking is free.
• All three of our state operated markets are participating
