RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – Raleigh police have one woman in custody in connection with a shooting in downtown Raleigh Friday (May 22).
The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. near the Wake County Justice Center. Both victims are attorneys, one man and one woman. Police chief Rico Boyce told reporters that all three were involved in the same civil case.
The suspect has been identified as 57 year old Gwendolyn White.
The victims have been identified as Mary Harris and Jeffrey Whitley. They were working for a law firm representing the town of Rolesville in a case related to police body camera footage that White wanted released.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
