The U.S. dairy industry continues to grow, and with that growth comes new opportunities and projects. International Dairy Foods Association Chief Operating Officer Tom Wojno has details on what is currently underway across the industry.
“I think today’s consumer is looking at nutrition, I think they’re looking at convenience, and most importantly, I think they’re looking at value. I think dairy has all of the opportunity here. I think we are squarely in where we can check the box of all three. I think we are front and center with the American consumer right now.”
While domestic demand is good, he said there is an opportunity to expand and diversify the dairy export strategy.
“We developed Project Diversify as a data-backed initiative to take multiple inputs, distill highly complicated information, and make it actionable. So, we took a multiple inputs as we look at different export markets, and we think that our new tool has the ability to equip exporters with actionable sites and tools that can really support their own strategic decision-making and develop a more resilient global expansion strategy.”
