During the 2026 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas, first-time exhibitor VM Agritech launched a new product that means growers don’t have to choose between protecting their crops and staying sustainable. Steve Princinsky, the chief operating officer for VM Agritech, talked about their new release.
“VM Agritech is a biochemistry company building a future where growers don’t have to choose between crop protection products that work and sustainable products that promote plant, soil, or human health. Our mission is to help protect what you grow and who you’re growing for. We’re here at the Commodity Classic to launch our flagship product, Curezin. Curezin is a patented, broad-spectrum, low-load, copper-zinc fungicide that performs head-to-head with conventional chemistries, while at the same time, promoting plant and soil health in all major row crops, as well as fruit, vegetables, turf, and ornamental landscapes.”
He talked about their new product Curezin, and how it compares to other fungicides on the market.
“We believe healthier plants lead to healthier people and ecosystems, so our research team is primarily focused on developing innovative crop protection alternatives like Curezin, which is a new benchmark in mineral fungicide technology. It’s the fully-soluble formulation of copper zinc. It fits easily into existing grower programs, and it delivers disease control and micronutrients in a single pass, while strengthening soil biology. A key differentiator in row crops is its contact mode of action. Curezin is a viable solution to address the growing problem of fungicide resistance. Its strength is in its simplicity. Growers don’t need to make drastic changes to their current program. They just need to switch the brand of micronutrient they’re currently using, and they can pick up free disease control.”
Growers will see multiple benefits when using Curezin on their crops.
First off, they’re going to see is a reduction in fungal and bacterial diseases in the crops they treat with Curezin. However, disease control is only part of the equation. Unless you grow tobacco, you don’t take disease-free leaf tissue to the market. What matters economically is very simple: lower input costs while increasing yields or marketable harvest. That’s why we are focused on boosting the two legs of the disease triangle we can control: killing the pathogen and improving the plant or host health, leading to better grower financials. In three years of university trials, Curezin has not only delivered effective disease control, but has also consistently boosted yields, starch, sugars, and/or marketable quality, depending on the crop tested.”
Princinsky talked about where to find more information on Curezin.
“You can visit our website at vmagritech.com to learn more about Curezin, which diseases that it controls by crop and how to apply it, and the benefits you can expect in your operation. Curezin is currently EPA-approved in more than 130 crops in 46 states to date, with two more expected shortly. Our manufacturing facility is in Kansas and is ready to ship today. We look forward to helping farmers increase their profitability this spring. We are looking to expand our existing U.S. retail network. If anyone is interested and their preferred retailer does not currently stock Curezin, they can call us, toll-free at 855-5-TAR SPOT, to arrange the delivery in time for the growing season.”
